How do I determine the career I should pursue?
I don't know where you are. It's one thing if you are about to start College. It's another if you are already out or have no intention to pursue a College Degree. If you are just going in, just follow the stuff that interests you, and see what shows up. But be smart about it. You can figure out a lot without going many thousands of dollars into debt. And some courses will not prepare you for anything. Maybe get a job in stuff that looks interesting, even if it is the worst job in the industry, to check it out.
If you are out of school already, start with Jeff Goins The Art of Work: A Proven Path to Discovering What You Were Meant to Do. He suggests inventorying your life and seeing what themes show up. Then looking at what work might be a good expression of that in your life.
And if you are willing to invest in yourself, get in touch. I'd love to help you work it out.
